I based the project off Tom Romano’s work. The multi-genre project required the students to do several things:
1. Choose a novel Angela Johnson’s Toning the Sweep, Pam Munoz Ryan’s Esperanza Rising or Natalie Babbit’s Tuck Everlasting.
2. Select a theme in the novel.
3. Choose genres that best represented that theme.
4. Decide how to present and/or package the genres.
