The National Writing Project (NWP) has effectively brought teachers together to focus on teaching writing (and a host of other things) effectively since the 1970s. I would hate to see the funding to continue the writing project and other important programs disappear into state budgets. I hope the government isn’t saying that all of the NWP’s hard work isn’t important. This would affect the Tidewater Writing Project.
Direct funding for the NWP is important.
