When I got to my office today, I looked at my mail. I had lots of stuff, but one envelope from Boyds Mills Press stood out because I suspected a book was inside. I was right, but I was unprepared for the stunning cover. Floyd Cooper’s illustrations drew me in.
The text is simple and repetitive, and the story line will be familiar to most readers— When Gregory and his Dad spend the day at the beach, Gregory draws a lion in the sand with a tail so long it takes him faraway from Dad.
