Reading selections from his newest publication Dead Languages, along with his other two collections of poetry: Sidetracks and Wind Over Water. Clint McCown has also published three novels (The Member-Guest, War Memorials,and The Weatherman). He has received the American Fiction Prize (twice), the S. Mariella Gable Prize, the Society of Midland Authors Award, the Bree Book Award, an Associated Press Award for Documentary Excellence, and a Barnes & Noble Discover Great Writers designation. He has
been a screenwriter for Warner Bros. and an actor with the National Shakespeare Company. His work has appeared in over fifty magazines and literary journals. He directs the creative writing program at Virginia Commonwealth University and also teaches in the Vermont College of Fine Arts Low-Residency MFA Program.
