I was on The Bottom Line with my colleague Clyde on March 26th to promote the Big Read Program. I had never been on TV before, and I usually try to stay away from public speaking because of a crazy bout of shyness (OK, it's probably plain old self-consciousness) I developed after turning 30. Anyway, I had fun doing it and have decided to push myself toward public speaking instead of hiding behind my laptop. Who knows? I might have something interesting to say at some point. (You've got to get past the first interview with an adorable girl who has arthritis and then Clyde and I are on.)
