Don’t Burn Your Books Yet

A recent blurb in Reading Today suggests that we shouldn’t burn our books and other print resources yet. They are still valuable even if we do live in a technologically savvy world. It seems that researchers did a meta-analysis of 44 studies and found that print materials have several benefits:

• Help children learn the basics of reading

• Cause children to read more and for longer periods

• Produce improved attitudes toward reading and learning
