Summer Institute July 11

Last year during the Summer Institute, David did his persona writing lesson and we wrote about a different picture. This year we wrote after looking at a photo with a caption that read "Woman in a migrant camp."
Here's what *I wrote from the persepctive of the woman:

I hope we can find work when we get to California. The crops aren't growing well here. The dust is covering everything. We can't even see the crops anymore. As soon as JimmyLee returns with our earnings, we're packing the kids up and hitting the road again. Since the Talbots and the Smiths are squeezing in with us, expenses should be low.

*Our writing during the institute isn't perfect; our point is to exercise. We see our activities as an opportunity to practice and feel successful whether the writing works well or not.
